Game888's premium game collection – from Penang to all across Malaysia
Baccarat is more than just a card game – it's a tradition. For decades, it has been the game of choice at land-based casinos across Asia, and in the digital age, it remains the number one pick for Malaysian players on online platforms like game888. The reason is simple: the rules are straightforward, the return-to-player (RTP) rate is high, and each round wraps up quickly.
At game888, there's no need to worry about complicated rules. Simply choose from three betting options: Banker, Player, or Tie. The dealer then deals the cards, and the winner is determined by whichever hand is closest to 9. Simple as that – yet the excitement never gets old.
What sets game888 apart from other platforms is the quality of its Live Casino experience. Our studio features multi-angle cameras, crisp audio, and trained dealers who speak both Bahasa Melayu and English. You can chat in real time while you play – it feels just like sitting at a real casino table in Genting Highlands, from the comfort of your home or wherever you are.
Game888 also offers unmatched flexibility. Bet limits start from as low as RM5, making it ideal for new players still finding their footing. For experienced players and VIPs, premium tables are available with limits of up to RM50,000 per hand. All of this comes with 256-bit SSL encryption and an independently certified random number generator (RNG) to ensure fair play.

A simplified version of baccarat – just one card for Dragon and one for Tiger. Easier to follow, faster to play, and with more predictable winning odds.

The dealer reveals each card slowly with a dramatic flair – building suspense with every round. The closest experience you'll get to a real land-based casino.
At game888, every baccarat table displays the Big Road – a visual record of results from previous rounds. Experienced players use it to identify patterns before making their betting decisions.
Note: This scorecard is for reference only. Each round is independent and is not guaranteed to follow past patterns.

| Bet Types | Payout | House Edge | Recommendations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Banker | 0.95:1 | 1.06% | Best |
| Player | 1:1 | 1.24% | Good |
| Tie | 8:1 | 14.36% | Avoid |
| Player Pair | 11:1 | 10.36% | High Risk |
| Banker Pair | 11:1 | 10.46% | High Risk |
Banker bets are subject to a 5% commission on winnings – this is already factored into the house edge figures above.
Always Start with Banker
Banker has the lowest house edge. It's the best starting point for any new session.
Avoid Betting on Tie Consistently
While the payout is attractive (8:1), the 14% house edge makes this the riskiest bet in the long run.
Set a Loss Limit Before You Play
Set your daily loss limit before you start playing. At game888, you can configure this directly from your account settings.
Baccarat is played between two hands – Banker and Player. Your goal is to predict which hand will have a total closest to 9. Cards worth 10 (10, J, Q, K) count as zero, while all other cards carry their face value. If a hand's total exceeds 9, only the second digit counts – for example, 7+8=15 is counted as 5.
At game888, each round begins with you placing your bet within the designated time. Once the betting window closes, the dealer deals two cards to each hand. Depending on the totals, a third card may be drawn in accordance with standard baccarat rules. The result is then announced and any winnings are automatically credited to your account.
Many Malaysian players who switched to game888 say the live baccarat experience here is far more satisfying than other platforms. First, video quality – 1080p HD streaming ensures you can see every card with clarity. Second, speed – game888 runs on Malaysian servers, keeping latency low and gameplay smooth with no buffering interruptions.
Third, trust. game888 uses an automatically shuffled machine system audited by an independent body to ensure every round is random and fair. No manipulation, no foul play. That is our commitment to every player.
